I strongly disagree, muslim girls are extremely fashionable but they also embrace their religion and culture through their own style.

i would disagree with the whole thing as in they are fashionable in one way or the other cuz what ever they are wearing even if its simple piece of cloth its been designed and made to fit in. this is it all about. it takes a piece of cloth to make a bikini so as to make a jilbab depends what you want but at the end of the day its again designed thing.

Definatly not. Muslim girls can be just as fashionable as anyone else. Just bcoz they wear a hijab, doesnt mean they cant keep up with fashion trends. I personally colour co-ordinate my outfit to go with my hijab rather than the other way round as it makes me feel good knowing that i have the freedom to do that. Wearing a hijab doesnt mean a woman has to change her personality.

I don't agree with this statement at all Muslim women can be just as fashionable as western women. Our religion doesn't hold us back from wearing fashionable clothing, we have to think about how we put clothes together but that doesn't automatically make us unfashionable.

howdy, i personally think majority of muslim womens are confused about the "HIJAB" with no disrespect what so ever, wearing HIJAB is very serious piece of clothing, as you are presenting ISLAM, i have seen many girls wearing hijab and disrespecting it.
I mean my mother doesn't wear hijab, but she still knows whats right to wear and what not to wear, she is still up-to-date with the fashion, even though she spent fortune going over pakistan and getting clothes. cover your head doesn't not make your good muslim or bad one. being a good muslim is not cover yourself and do not communicate with rest of the world.
many thanks for reading :)

Dear confused Muslim Fashion Community,

Islam has No disregard to Fashion. If you want to be fashionable, and it makes you expose your body to a bit also, you are not allowed to go before a Non-Mahram man wearing that. Were as if you can be as fashionable and sexy as you can, infront of you husband.

I agree to some extent. Muslim women are ordered to hide their "beauty". Hence the rulings came down for hijabs and full body coverings. When a person tries to look fashionable he/she does it to look good to other human beings, not to dogs and cats.

So when Muslim women say "oh we are so fashionable in a hijab"(which you definitely can be, hijabs can be very stylish),you are sending out two contradictory stataments. You want to "hide your beauty", yet you are enhancing it by wearing stylish and colorful hijabs. Pick one.

fashion is very subjective and a very personal thing, muslim women are following a islamic fashion, therefore they are fashionalble in their own right.

muslim women aren't fashionable and have no need to be fashionable as they are above such things and are following something superior that fashion which is islam

Dressing with modesty is important to many Muslim women and resultantly they are able to create a unique style via which they express their identity, modesty and create a uniqueness which exists in fashion i.e. chic look, grunge look, 60s look etc..

as a society we all follow some sort of fashion, some styles of dress are popular than others so it would be wrong
